In a surprise announcement, Google has confirmed an initiative to expand its existing footprint in New York City. That expansion translates to a $1 Billion investment in Manhattan’s Hudson Square neighborhood. Officially known as Google Hudson Square, the 1.7 million square foot campus will occupy both 345 and 315 Hudson Street, as well as St. John’s Terminal located at 550 Washington Street.
Manhattan’s iconic MetLife Building will soon undergo a major renovation of ground floor lobby areas, including the reinstatement of a long-shuttered connection to Grand Central Terminal. Tishman Speyer, the building’s current owner, has commissioned MdeAs Architect to reimagine the space.

Located between 17th and 18th Streets on the far West Side, the site is close to the West Side Highway, as well as the High Line. In a major reveal, SL Green Realty has announced its plans to redevelop and expand their existing 13-story office building at One Madison Avenue. From architects Kohn Pedersen Fox, new designs include 18 new floors of Class-A office space, tenant amenities, and more than an acre of outdoor terraces.
Permits have been filed for a one-story commercial building at 5002 Flatlands Avenue, in Flatlands, Brooklyn. Located between Utica Avenue and East 51st Street, the corner site is situated directly on Flatlands Avenue. Subway access is limited, and the closest station is the Flatbush Avenue station serviced by the 2 train, is well over a mile away.
