The eastern edge of Bushwick, where the L train swings above ground next to cemeteries, serves as the borderlands of gentrified Brooklyn, just before Broadway Junction and East New York. And today YIMBY has the first look at a four-story condo project under construction at 1290-1300 Decatur Street, between Knickerbocker and Wilson Avenue.
The Moinian Group owns a 29-story residential and office building at 100 John Street in the heart of the Financial District, and now they want to add a 24-story addition to the five-story commercial building next door at 102 John Street, making the buildings the same height.
Apartment buildings have sprouted on nearly every piece of available property near the Metropolitan Avenue L stop in Williamsburg, but one developer has decided to expand and convert a warehouse at 82 Ainslie Street instead of tearing it down.
LG Electronics USA has revised plans for their new North American headquarters building at 111 Sylvan Avenue, in southern Englewood Cliffs, just north of the GWB in New Jersey. The 360,000 square-foot building will stand five stories or nearly 70 feet tall, according to The New York Times. The new building was previously proposed to rise 143 feet at the site, formerly home to a single-story office structure, now demolished. Completion is expected by 2019, and Saratoga Associates is designing.
Property owner Jose Minassian has filed applications for a four-story, two-unit residential building on the 14-foot wide vacant lot at 754 Lafayette Avenue, in central Bedford-Stuyvesant, four blocks east from the Bedford Avenue stop on the G. The 2,762 square-foot building will split its space between just two residences, making for a condo-sized unit of 1,381 square feet. Gerald Caliendo is designing.
