Bronx Metro-North Station Area Plan Reaches Approval From New York City Council

The New York City Council has officially approved the Bronx Metro-North Station Area Plan, the first neighborhood plan certified and approved under Mayor Eric Adams’ administration. The plan is designed to accompany four new Metro-North stations coming to the Bronx in 2027 and is expected to create approximately 7,000 homes, including permanently income-restricted affordable housing, and 10,000 permanent jobs, along with improved public spaces and enhanced access to mass transit.

Orion Astoria Launches At 25-88 38th Street In Astoria, Queens

Orion Astoria, a new residential development at 25-88 38th Street in Astoria, Queens, has officially completed construction and recently launched sales. The building was developed by Konstandinos “Gus” Vorillas, Thomas Ballis, and Chris Giannikouros. It was designed by Harriet Nikakis of Astoria-based HCN Architects.

Renovations Announced For Brooklyn Children’s Museum In Crown Heights, Brooklyn

The New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and the New York City Department of Design and Construction have announced the start of a renovation project for the Brooklyn Children’s Museum at 145 Brooklyn Avenue in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. This project aims to rebuild the museum’s retaining walls and modernize its courtyard and terraces, creating 20,000 square feet of accessible outdoor space for young visitors and their families. The $15 million project will be funded by the Mayor’s Office, City Council, and the Brooklyn Borough President’s Office.
