Agreement Reached To Transform The Brooklyn Marine Terminal In Red Hook, Brooklyn
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey have announced a project that will transform the 122-acre Brooklyn Marine Terminal into a modern port and mixed-use community hub in Red Hook, Brooklyn. The project is projected to create thousands of jobs and generate substantial economic impact. The city will invest $80 million to stabilize piers and $15 million for the addition of an electrified container crane. Beyond that, Governor Hochul has committed $15 million from state funds for a cold storage facility to be constructed.
