Avison Young recently arranged a new 10-year lease at 220 West 19th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan, on behalf of landlord Red Circle NY Corp. The lease will be a relocation for The Corcoran Group’s Chelsea office from its current location at 218 West 18th Street. The 9,200-square-foot lease will span the entire fifth floor of the boutique owner-occupied office building. The space is fully built, furnished, and wired.

Mayor Adams Announces Progress For ’24 in 24′ Affordable Housing Initiative

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has announced progress in the city’s “24 in 24” plan, which aims to advance 24 affordable housing projects on public sites in 2024. The initiative, a key promise from Mayor Adams’ State of the City address, has already surpassed the halfway mark ahead of schedule, with 13 developments currently underway.

Phase Two Of Willets Point Affordable Housing Development Approved for Willets Point, Queens

On April 11, Mayor Eric Adams announced the City Council’s approval of phase two of Willets Point, a new affordable development in Queens. The approval is a notable step for the project, which is set to introduce the largest entirely affordable housing project seen in the city in four decades, as well as more than 150,000 square feet of new public open space, more than 20,000 square feet of retail space, a 250-key hotel, and a 25,000-seat stadium for the New York City Football Club.

387 8th Street Breaks Ground in Hamilton Park, Jersey City

Construction has broken ground on 387 8th Street, a ten-story residential building in Hamilton Park, Jersey City. Designed by INOA Architecture and developed by EPIRE, the structure will yield 75 units, 8,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and 77 parking spaces. Christie Engineering is the structural engineer and Wilco Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Brunswick and Division Streets.

Fields Grade and Ursa Development Group have announced the completion of construction on The Devan, a residential development at 3 New York Avenue in Jersey City‘s The Heights neighborhood. The project is situated between Jersey City and Hoboken and yields 336 rental units. Leasing has officially launched for the property and move-ins are set to begin on May 1.

L&L Holding Company Secures Refinancing For 425 Park Avenue In Midtown East, Manhattan

L&L Holding Company has secured $911 million in refinancing for 425 Park Avenue, an office skyscraper in Midtown East, Manhattan. Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank led the refinancing as the principal lender, with the new five-year floating rate loan intended to replace a similar-sized loan from 2021 that supported the tower’s final construction and leasing activities.

Construction Begins At 307 Bergen Avenue In Greenville, Jersey City

The Garden State Community Development Corporation, working alongside the Wells Fargo Foundation and local developer Cara Squared LLC, announced the commencement of construction on 307 Bergen Avenue, a $6.3 million housing development in Jersey City’s Greenville neighborhood. The project, which was designed by Inglese Architecture & Engineering, aims to convert a former parking lot into a 12-unit residential condominium complex, intended specifically for low-income families earning 70 percent or less of the area median income.

New Photos Reveal Completed Renovations At 51 West 52nd Street In Midtown, Manhattan

Renovations are complete on 51W52, also known as Black Rock, an office building at 51 West 52nd Street in Midtown Manhattan. Harbor Group International completed the $128 overhaul of the 38-story structure, which was originally designed by Eero Saarinen as the headquarters for CBS and yields 900,000 square feet of interior space.
