Casa Celina Will Create 200 New Apartments for Low-Income Seniors in The Bronx

City agencies have announced the development of an affordable housing project dedicated to low- and extremely low-income senior citizens in the Soundview section of The Bronx. Known as Casa Celina, it is a collaboration between NYCHA and the city’s department of Housing Preservation and Development with private entities Xenolith Partners, The Kretchmer Companies, ELH Mgmt., and the Jewish Association Serving the Aging, known colloquially as JASA.

City Agencies Announce Affordable Housing Complex at Contentious Broadway Triangle Site in Brooklyn

In a recent announcement, New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) revealed a multi-phase affordable housing development in Brooklyn. Known as Broadway Triangle, the wedge-shaped plot of land sits at the intersection of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Bedford-Stuyvesant and will eventually give rise to a five-building housing complex for low-income households and the formerly homeless.

10 Jay Street’s Crystalline Office Conversion Nears Completion in DUMBO, Brooklyn

New photos from the ODA-designed conversion of 10 Jay Street offer a first look at the interior of the boldly reimagined structure. Located on the shores of DUMBO, Brooklyn, the landmarked property was constructed in 1898 and originally served as the Arbuckle Brothers Sugar Refinery. In 1925 the building was converted to a winery, but by end of the decade, one of its masonry facades had been torn off and the exposed building fell into disrepair.
