A new public-private development partnership led by Exact Capital will create two new affordable cooperative buildings in West Harlem, Manhattan. The new buildings will improve vacant parcels at 207-209 West 140 Street and 304 West 150 Street, and create a total of 52 homes.
Developers and city officials recently celebrated the completion of 50 Penn, a 218-unit affordable housing property at 50 Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Developed by Pennrose with design by Dattner Architects, the building’s residential collection includes include 56 studios, 96 one-bedroom, 48 two-bedroom, and 18 three-bedroom apartments.
Urby’s next residential community will soon debut at 155 Washington Street in Newark, New Jersey. Known simply as Newark Urby, the property will comprise 250 rental apartments ranging from studios up to three-bedroom floor plans.

A renovation project led by Beacon Communities, current owners of the 99-unit property, includes a host of high-tech sustainability upgrades that will drastically reduce building carbon emissions and achieve net-zero energy use.
The Bayonne Planning Board has granted preliminary approvals for developers to construct what will be the largest mixed-use complex in the New Jersey waterfront city. Known as Peninsula at Bayonne Harbor, the development will comprise 1,250 residential units, 10,000 square feet of retail space, parking for 788 vehicles, a landscaped public park, and a waterfront promenade.
