Construction is continuing at 1220 Putnam Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn, where developers first broke ground in October 2018. Designed by ARC Architecture + Design Studio and developed by Boaz Gilad, the rising residential development will eventually top out at four stories and comprise a total 6,600 square feet.
The Museum of Ice Cream has returned to New York City, but this time in a 25,000-square-foot permanent outpost in Downtown Manhattan. Known simply as MOIC, the brand’s flagship location will occupy three floors of 558 Broadway in SoHo.
Following approvals from the New York City Department of Buildings, Mortar Arch + Dev will soon begin construction on a new residential property at 206 Powers Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. In lieu of demolishing the location’s existing three-story building, Mortar will instead renovate and expand the property by one story to capitalize on the site’s allowable building area.
S&S Architecture has revealed new renderings for a residential expansion of an existing mixed-use building at 1513 Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The structure currently contains a small ground-floor commercial property and two floors of residential area above.
Dunn Development Corp. recently secured $37 million in construction financing for Austin 147, an 80-unit supportive and affordable housing block at 880 East 147th Street in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the South Bronx. CAMBA, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit organization, will provide supportive services to the clients who reside in the building after it’s completed. The new property is expected to debut by summer 2021.
