Renderings have been revealed for 50 Sussex Avenue, a 15-story building in Newark, New Jersey. Designed by 50 Sussex Avenue and developed by Tona Development, which won approvals to construct the project in 2021, the 150-foot-tall structure will yield 203 rental units and 2,000 square feet of commercial space. Available apartments will range from studio units up to two-bedroom floor plans.
City officials recently celebrated the commencement of construction on a new public health laboratory and contagion testing center at 40 West 137th Street in Harlem. The facility will serve as headquarters for New York City Public Health Laboratory and will be operated by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
Construction has topped out on 282-286 Grand Street, a seven-story residential building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Developed by Prosper Property Group, the 23,500-square-foot structure will yield 25 rental apartments spread across roughly 22,500 square feet, along with residential amenity space and a small commercial space on the ground floor.
Tishman Speyer has announced chef Erik Ramirez and Juan Correa, the team behind critically acclaimed restaurants Llama San and Llama Inn, will bring a new dining concept to The Spiral at 66 Hudson Boulevard. Located in Hudson Yards, the new restaurant will occupy the ground floor of the tower on the northwest corner at Tenth Avenue and 34th Street.
