One of the city’s largest-ever public murals will soon adorn The Rollins, one of nine buildings at the Essex Crossing mega-project on the Lower East Side. Brooklyn art duo ASVP was commissioned for the project following a borough-wide call for submissions from Delancey Street Associates, the development team responsible for Essex Crossing.
Proposals submitted to the City by EMP Capital Group have revealed a new, nine-story mixed-use building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The plans were prepared by Equity Environmental Engineering and include motions to rezone the six lot assemblage for residential and retail development.
New Rochelle recently granted approvals for the construction of what will be the largest-ever mixed-use development in the city’s history. Located at 11 Lawton Street, the dual-tower development will feature 143 condominiums, 453 rental units, and a 190-key hotel. Additional components include 8,102 square feet of restaurant and bar space, 2,953 square feet of retail space, and 627 on-site parking spaces.
Earlier this month, Sarah Lawrence College opened the newly completed Barbara Walters Campus Center just in time for the class of 2023 to begin first-year coursework. The $35 million project serves as a welcome center and gathering place for those visiting the institution’s Yonkers campus.
