Detailed proposals contained within an environmental assessment statement reveal plans to construct a mixed-use affordable housing building in Sunnyside, Queens. Located at 50-25 Barnett Avenue, the eight-story building could yield 167 to 189 residential units, 170 parking spaces, and 5,323 square feet of office area that will be reserved for non-profit use.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) will soon review proposals to construct a new nine-story residential building on the campus of St. James Church Fordham in The Bronx. The scope of work also includes restoration of the church’s aging façade and modifications to the building’s internal organization.
Excavation is underway for a four-story expansion at 68 Eldert Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. When complete, the new property will top out at five stories and yield 13,474 square feet.
Proposals to construct a new public library in DUMBO, Brooklyn have received preliminary approvals from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC). Known as the Adams Street Library, the new property will be the first new branch to debut under the Brooklyn Public Library network.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission is now considering proposals to renovate the façade of a 19th century townhouse in the Central Park West Historic District of the Upper West Side. The property is located at 55 West 86th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, and was originally constructed in 1889.
