It’s unusual to see thoughtful design for manufacturing space, but that’s exactly what YIMBY has here with this glass and steel structure coming to 50-02 97th Place, which will replace a low-slung warehouse in Corona, Queens.
Construction is booming in Long Island City, but it’s pretty unusual to find a new building with apartments and manufacturing space, like the one planned for 40-05 Crescent Street. Permits were filed back in September and approved last month for the five-story, 36,433-square-foot building.
Late last year, YIMBY reported that a new seven-story and 42-unit building was coming to 38-11 31st Street in Long Island City, designed by Morali Architects.
