Falcon Pacific Builders has revealed the latest set of renderings for a new, mixed-use development on the rise in Astoria. The corner property is located at 28-16 21st Street, and will eventually contain 50 rental units, including 10 permanently affordable homes.
Permits for six connected addresses have been filed for a new project spanning from 86-07 to 86-17 Kingston Place. Frank J. Quatela Architects, P.C is heading design for all of the new residential structures, located in the Queens neighborhood of Jamaica Hills, between Henley Road and Highland Avenue. Several single-family homes currently exist on the lots, for which demolition permits have not yet been filed.
International architecture firm Snøhetta has revealed designs for a new 17,500 square foot library in Far Rockaway, Queens. Located at 1637 Central Avenue, the two-story building will more than double usable area of the existing public library.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 83-12 Broadway in Elmhurst, Queens. The site is three blocks from the Elmhurst Avenue subway station, serviced by the E, M, and R trains. Howard C. Haider Jr., trustee of the Haider Family Trust, will be responsible for the development.
Permits have been filed by developer Cape Advisors for two more nine-story residential buildings, at 11-12 30th Drive and 11-28 30th Drive, in Astoria, Queens. The site is between 30th Drive and 31st Street, and Vernon Boulevard and 12th Street. The project’s future address will be 30-77 Vernon Boulevard, and the pair of buildings will rise alongside an adjacent structure at 11-28 30th Drive. All are going up on the same lot, with their combined area taking up almost two-thirds of the entire parcel of land.
