Leasing has officially launched for a new, two-towered development by The Durst Organization in Astoria, Queens. Located at 10 Halletts Point, the 22 and 19-story towers are just the first components of a sprawling, seven-building development that will eventually comprise 2.4 million square feet. It will include more than 2,100 apartments, affordable housing, a public waterfront esplanade, and retail area.
In a surprise announcement, Silverback Development has acquired development rights for a new, 23-story residential project that has already topped-out in Long Island City, Queens. Located at 24-16 Queens Plaza South, the property was previously owned by Greystone Development, who sold the building for approximately $80 million.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 88-11 179th Place in Jamaica, Queens. Located between Hillside Avenue and 90th Avenue, the interior lot is steps away from the Jamaica-179 Street subway station, serviced by the E and F trains. Palwinder Singh is listed as the owner behind the applications.
YIMBY has word that Tishman Speyer has finalized lease agreements for all 1.2 million square feet of its recently completed office development known as “The JACX,” in Long Island City. While the property has not officially debuted, the building’s list of tenants includes Macy’s, Inc., New York-Presbyterian, Bloomingdale’s, WeWork, and a primary care practice operated by Weill Cornell Medicine.
Permits have been filed for an eight-story apartment building at 143-16 41st Avenue in Flushing, Queens. Located on the interior between Bowne Street and major thoroughfare Parsons Boulevard, the lot is two city blocks east of a couple transit options. Nearby is the Main Street subway station, serviced by the 7 train, as well as the Flushing station on the LIRR. Xuan Lin of 143-16 41 Avenue Management Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
