First Look At Block 675 Redevelopment in Hudson Yards, 601 West 29th Street and 606 West 30th Street

Hudson Yards is making major progress, with Related’s core redevelopment over the Eastern Yards now racing towards completion. While progress on the Western Yards is still a few years away, another large site on the southern side of West 30th Street is set for an impressive transformation from under-used retail and industrial buildings into a two-towered residential and commercial project that will top-out 700 feet above street level.

Multi-family development is growing on Staten Island’s eastern shore. Last month YIMBY revealed plans for 400 apartments on an industrial site along Edgewater Street in Rosebank. Now we’ve spotted building applications for a 72-unit residential project at 80 Scarboro Avenue, just a few blocks south of the big Edgewater Street development.

A former garage in the West Village is yet again set to make way for new development. On Tuesday, the Landmarks Preservation Commission approved the demolition of the two-story building at 145 Perry Street, a.k.a. 703-711 Washington Street.
