New York development firm Rabina has closed on a $540 million construction package to complete a new supertall tower at 520 Fifth Avenue. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the structure will top out at 1,000 feet and contain a collection of condominiums and associated amenity spaces, boutique office space, a ground-floor retail component, and public recreation space.
Façade installation is nearing the parapet of Two Manhattan West, a 58-story commercial skyscraper in the five-building Manhattan West master plan in Midtown West. Designed by Skidmore Owings & Merrill and developed by Brookfield, the 935-foot-tall tower will yield 2 million square feet of office space directly to the south of its taller fraternal sibling, One Manhattan West. AECOM Tishman is the general contractor for the project, which is aiming for LEED Gold Certification and is located at the corner of West 31st Street and Ninth Avenue. Two Manhattan West is already 25 percent leased with law firm Cravath, Swaine & Moore confirmed as the flagship tenant.
Construction is nearing completion on 115 East 55th Street, an 18-story residential building in Midtown East. Designed by SLCE Architects for Zeckendorf Development, the 185-foot-tall reinforced concrete superstructure will yield 71,961 square feet and 58 units. CM& Associates Construction Management, LLC is the general contractor for the Midtown property, which is located on a relatively small plot between Lexington and Park Avenues, directly to the east of Norman Foster‘s nearly finished 425 Park Avenue.
Construction continues to rise on 270 Park Avenue, JPMorgan Chase‘s new 1,388-foot-tall, 70-story supertall headquarters in Midtown East. Severud Associates is the engineer of record and Mueser Rutledge Consulting Engineers (MRCE) designed the structural foundation elements for the 2.5 million-square-foot tower, which takes up a full city block between Park and Madison Avenues and 47th and 48th Streets.
Construction is rising on 606 West 30th Street, a 42-story residential skyscraper in Hudson Yards. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Lalezarian Properties, the 545-foot-tall structure will yield 312,350 square feet, with 192,780 square feet of residential space and 14,240 square feet of commercial space. Highbury Concrete is pouring the concrete and Hudson 37 LLC is listed as the general contractor for the project, which is also known as Tower B in a two-skyscraper development alongside FXCollaborative and Douglaston Development‘s topped-out 601 West 29th Street. The property is located between Eleventh Avenue and West Street, near the border with West Chelsea.
