The first rendering has been revealed for a multi-family expansion at 155 Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Spacecutter, the project involves the construction of a fourth floor and a horizontal addition on the three-story residential building.
Permits have been filed for a 14-story mixed-use building at 737 4th Avenue in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Located between 24th and 25th Streets with frontage along 4th Avenue, the lot is steps from the 25th Street subway station, serviced by the R train. Craig Miller of BEB Capital is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is progressing on the new superstructure of TSX Broadway, a 470-foot-tall hotel at 1568 Broadway in Times Square. Designed by PBDW Architects, Mancini Duffy, and Perkins Eastman and developed by L&L Holding Company, Maefield Development, and Fortress Investment Group, the Midtown, Manhattan project required the partial demolition of the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton while preserving a portion of the original steel-framed podium that’s being repurposed, refurbished, and incorporated into the 21st century overhaul. The end result will be a new 550,000-square-foot tower that will include Kirchoff & Rose’s 108-year-old Palace Theater, which is being renovated and raised 30 feet to make way for ground-floor retail space. The site is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 47th Street, to the east of the red TKTS stairs, and is slated to cost $2.5 billion.
Construction has topped out on the Moxy Lower East Side at 145 Bowery, an 18-story hotel building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Stonehill & Taylor Architects and developed by The Lightstone Group, the 193-foot-tall structure will yield 127,000 square feet with 303 guest rooms, averaging 200 square feet apiece. Leeding builders Group, LLC is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Broome Street and Bowery.
Resolution Real Estate has completed a major renovation of the historic McGraw-Hill Publishing Company Building at 330 West 42nd Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by American architect Raymond Hood, the 35-story building was originally constructed in 1931 and is considered a standout example of Art Deco design.
