REAL New York has launched sales for The Benny, a new condominium building in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Brooklyn. Located at 77 Clarkson Avenue, the development contains 44 homes designed by architecture firm ROART. Residences include 35 one-bedroom and nine two-bedroom units, with pricing starting at $550,000.
Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 903 Eagle Drive in Morrisania, The Bronx. Located between East 161st Street and East 165th Street, the lot is near the Prospect Avenue subway station on Westchester Avenue, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Egris Haxhari is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The steel superstructure is continuing to rise skyward at 50 Hudson Yards, the number-nine project on YIMBY’s countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in New York City. Workers have made a significant amount of progress since we checked in one year ago, when foundations were just beginning to make their way toward street level. Now, a mass of steel beams, columns, and trusses for the wide floor plates are ascending around the reinforced concrete core. Designed by Norman Foster of Foster + Partners, the 1,011-foot-tall commercial office supertall is the final segment of the first phase of Related Companies‘ Hudson Yards complex. Oxford Properties and Mitsui Fudosan are developing the 2.9-million-square-foot structure, the largest component in the 28-acre master plan by volume.
Installation of the curtain wall has begun on the lower podium floors of 145 West 47th Street, as the reinforced concrete superstructure continues to rise above the streets of Times Square. Designed by Berg + Moss Architects and developed by Tribeach Holdings, the 27-story building that will eventually house a 343-room RIU Hotel. 145 West 47th Street is expected to yield 141,500 square feet of newly built space.
An updated batch of renderings from developer The Collective offer a new glimpse of 292 North 8th Street, a forthcoming student housing development in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by architects Stonehill Taylor, the building will top out at 11 stories and comprise approximately 100,000 square feet.
