Bjarke Ingels’ 66 Hudson Boulevard, aka The Spiral, Climbs Past Podium in Hudson Yards

Construction has surpassed the podium levels at 66 Hudson Boulevard, aka The Spiral, one of the largest buildings under construction in New York City. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Tishman Speyer, the 65-story 1,031-foot-tall skyscraper sits at the northernmost end of the first phase of Hudson Yards. Turner Construction Company is the construction manager and Banker Steel is in charge of fabricating the nearly $3.7 billion ground-up supertall.

Foundation Walls Begin Formation for 487-Foot Starwood Hotel at 450 Eleventh Avenue in Hudson Yards

Excavation continues at the site of 450 Eleventh Avenue, while the first portions of the reinforced concrete foundation walls are beginning to form what will become a 487-foot-tall hotel from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group, the project is located between West 36th and 37th Streets, directly across Eleventh Avenue from the Jacob K. Javits Center and just to the north of Related Companies’ Hudson Yards master plan.

Alloy Development, listed as the owner behind the applications, is developing 80 Flatbush on the adjacent plot, a complex that includes one of the tallest buildings in the borough.

Z Architecture Reveals Updated Design for 1010 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Back in 2018, developers revealed a sleek seven-story building to replace a private two-story home at 1010 Bushwick Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. However following demolition of that property, the original plans were scrapped for a more conventional design from Z Architecture.

YIMBY recently went on a hard-hat tour of Madison House, aka 15 East 30th Street The slender 805-foot-tall tower is topped out as the tallest skyscraper in NoMad, standing 62 stories tall, and creates a distinct multi-pointed crown and silhouette on the Midtown skyline. The residential building is designed by Handel Architects, while Fosun Group and JD Carlisle are responsible for the nearly 300,000-square-foot development. Douglas Elliman is handling sales and marketing.
