United American Land has revealed the first renderings of 277 Canal Street, its forthcoming affordable housing project designed by Morris Adjmi Architects in Soho, Manhattan. The building is on track to be the first completed project following passage of a controversial neighborhood rezoning of 55 city blocks.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 393 Weirfield Street, a 12-story residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Horizon at 391 Weirfield LLC, the structure yields 66 residences and 66 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 20 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $65,143 to $198,250.
Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 38-16 Crescent Street in Long Island City, Queens. Located between 38th and 39th Avenues, the lot is near the 39 Avenue-Dutch Kills subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Jay Lay of 3818 Crescent Street LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Construction is finishing up on The Paxton, a 43-story mixed-use skyscraper at 540 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management, the 511-foot-tall structure spans 330,000 square feet and will yield 327 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 137,075 square feet of office space and 33,000 square feet of retail space in the multi-story podium. MNS is handling sales and marketing for the homes at the property, which is located by the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Fulton Street.
Blue Communities, a Long Island-based developer, has broken ground on a new rental property at 101 Searing Avenue in Mineola, Long Island. Designed by BLD Architecture, the six-story property will debut as The Royal Blue and comprise more than 100,000 square feet of residential area. Residential floor plans will range from one to two-bedrooms averaging 875 square feet to more than 1,400 square feet. Each home will feature name-brand finishes and appliances.
