Recently Modern Spaces took over marketing and sales for BLVD, a 10-story condo tower in Forest Hills, Queens. Developed by RJ Capital Holdings with architecture by Jarmel Kizel Architects and Engineers and interiors by The Design High, the 74-unit development is located at 107-06 Queens Boulevard between 70th and 71st Avenues and facing MacDonald Park. The Alexander Pereira Team of Modern Spaces is exclusively handling sales for the building with the new development 74 percent sold out and four new contracts signed.

Work Resumes on 550 Tenth Avenue After Crane Collapse in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction resumes on 550 Tenth Avenue, a 47-story residential skyscraper in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Gotham Organization and Goldman Sachs Asset Management JV, the rising 520-foot-tall structure will yield 430,000 square feet and 453 rental units, with 137 reserved for affordable housing, as well as 9,000 square feet of lower-level retail space, over 20,000 square feet of amenities, and 26,764 square feet of administrative office space for Covenant House. GO Covenant LLC is the owner and Monadnock Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located along Tenth Avenue between West 40th and 41st Streets.

Westchester LDC Approves $52M Bond Financing for NY Blood Center’s $108M Project

The Westchester County Local Development Corporation (LDC) has given preliminary approval for $52 million in tax-exempt bond financing to assist the New York Blood Center Inc. in redeveloping the former Avon headquarters at at 601 Midland Avenue in Rye. The approval, which was granted October 20, will facilitate the transformation of the old headquarters into a 187,000-square-foot facility, entirely leased to the New York Blood Center for offices, testing and research laboratories, along with processing, storage, and distribution of blood and related supplies.
