216-Unit Development Breaks Ground At 95 Challenger Road In Ridgefield Park, New Jersey

KABR Group and Hornrock Properties have broken ground on a six-story, 216-unit residential building at 95 Challenger Road in Ridgefield Park, Bergen County, New Jersey. Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, the development is the first residential component within the 60-acre Overpeck Corporate Center. The residential program will include a mix of studio, one-, and two-bedroom rental units, as well as 22 affordable housing units. The project will also include 2,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. The property is located adjacent to Overpeck Creek and Overpeck County Park.

Plans have been approved for 626 Palisade Avenue, a four-story residential building in The Heights district of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Weckenmann Architecture for the 626 Palisade Group LLC, the 43-foot-tall structure was unanimously approved on October 9 by Jersey City’s Zoning Board and will yield 43 rental units, three of which will be affordable. The project will also include 939 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is located between North Street and Congress Street.

Developer Secures Funding for 381-Unit Project at 615 River Road in Edgewater, New Jersey

Earlier this month, developer Maxal Group acquired $255 million from S3 Capital for the construction of 615 River Road, a 25-story residential building in Edgewater, New Jersey. Designed by FXCollaborative, the structure is the first phase in a $1 billion master plan and will yield 381 units along with ground-floor retail space. The property is located along the Hudson River near the intersection with Archer Street.

Construction is nearing completion on 505 Summit Avenue, a 54-story residential skyscraper in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by HLW International and developed by Panepinto Properties, the 577-foot-tall structure will yield 605 rental units and 4,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. The property is bounded by the three-tower Journal Squared complex to the north, the Journal Square PATH station and rail tracks to the south and west, and Summit Avenue to the east.
