Updated Design Revealed for 593 Montgomery Street in Jersey City, New Jersey

New renderings have been revealed for 593 Montgomery Street, an 18-story residential building in the McGinley Square section of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by GRO Architects, the 218-foot-tall structure will yield 98 units. The development will also include 7,184 square feet of medical office space and 75 enclosed parking spaces on the first four levels. The project was approved by the local zoning board earlier this month and will rise from an irregular lot at the corner of Montgomery Street and Beacon Way.

Malas Development Advances Phase Two Of The Marq In Teaneck, New Jersey

Malas Development has acquired a 2.5-acre parcel at 359 Alfred Avenue in Teaneck, New Jersey, to launch the second phase of The Marq, a rental community. The upcoming six-story building, designed by CPA Architecture, will add 248 residences to the development. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-July following the demolition of an existing industrial structure. This next phase follows the successful lease-up of Phase One, which brought 256 units to the market, 80 percent of which were leased within months of opening.

Construction has officially topped out on 505 Summit, a 54-story residential skyscraper in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by HLW International and developed by Panepinto Properties, the $388 million project will yield 605 rental units and 4,000 square feet of street-level retail space. The property is located along Summit Avenue to the immediate south of the three-tower Journal Squared complex, near the intersection with Magnolia Avenue.

Phase One of Bayfront Residential Complex Breaks Ground in Jersey City, New Jersey

Construction broke ground this week on the first phase of Bayfront, a 100-acre mixed-use development in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Dattner Architects and developed in a joint venture between Pennrose LLC and PATHS Development LLC, the first phase consists of a six-story apartment building called Bayfront Promenade, featuring 210 rental units along the southeastern portion of the master plan. The building will also include ground-floor retail space, a 10,000-square-foot community facility, and an on-site daycare facility with services provided by Greater Bergen Community Action. The sprawling site is located to the west of Route 440 along the Hackensack River, directly north of the Droyers Point housing complex, and immediately south of the Hudson Mall shopping center.

Skyscraper Redesign Revealed for Imperial Tower at 2966 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Jersey City, New Jersey

An expanded redesign been revealed for Imperial Tower, a 56-story mixed-use skyscraper at 2966 John F. Kennedy Boulevard in the Journal Square district of Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by MVMK Architecture and developed by Kuldeep “Sunny” Kumar, the 637-foot-tall structure has been significantly expanded from its original scope of 35 stories, and will yield a larger residential component consisting of 542 units, of which 54 will be designated for affordable housing. The remainder of the development’s programming appears largely untouched, including its planned 154-room hotel. The project will also include retail space, a banquet hall and three restaurants, and an enclosed parking garage with a capacity of 202 vehicles and 295 bicycles. The property spans half an acre at the corner of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Cottage Street.
