54-Story Skyscraper Nears Completion at 505 Summit Avenue in Journal Square, Jersey City

Construction is nearing completion on 505 Summit Avenue, a 54-story residential skyscraper in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by HLW International and developed by Panepinto Properties, the 577-foot-tall structure will yield 605 rental units and 4,000 square feet of ground-level retail space. The property is bounded by the three-tower Journal Squared complex to the north, the Journal Square PATH station and rail tracks to the south and west, and Summit Avenue to the east.

HCCC Center for Student Success Progresses at 14 Enos Place in Journal Square, Jersey City

Exterior work is progressing on the HCCC Center for Student Success, an 11-story educational facility for the Hudson County Community College (HCCC) at 14 Enos Place in Journal Square, Jersey City. Designed by NK Architects, the 180-foot-tall structure will span 153,186 square feet and yield 24 classrooms and expanded student services and common spaces. The $96.3 million project will also include a full-size NCAA gymnasium, a fitness center, black-box theater, health sciences laboratories, 85 offices for the Continuing Education and Workforce Development, eight conference rooms, and an instruction center for sister colleges and partners. The HCCC-owned property is located between Jones Street to the east and Enos Place to the west.

New renderings have been released for 2875 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, a 54-story residential skyscraper in Journal Square, Jersey City. The proposed structure is expected to stand more than 550 feet tall and yield 790 rental units, as well as 60,000 square feet of retail space including a supermarket. The property is located at the intersection of John F. Kennedy Boulevard and Bergen Avenue.

YIMBY recently tour The Journal, a new two-tower residential and retail complex located at 36 Journal Square Plaza in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Woods Bagot with interiors by 1159 and developed by Kushner, the nearly $1 billion project consists of two 64-story skyscrapers, approximately 2 million square feet of space yielding 1,723 rental units and 40,000 square feet of retail space. The property is bounded by Sip Avenue to the south, John F. Kennedy Boulevard to the west, and convenient access to the Journal Square PATH train to the northeast.
