Renderings from Fogarty Finger Architecture are the first illustrations of a new six-story rental building in Jersey City. Located at 95 Monitor Street, the large mid-block parcel is in the city’s Communipaw neighborhood. The proposed project is a joint venture between Grade Development, Fields Development, and Alpine Development.
The Sayerville Planning Board has approved construction of a waterfront community that will soon become one of the largest redevelopment projects in New Jersey history. Known simply as Riverton, the multi-phase development will occupy 418 acres near the Driscoll Bridge along the Raritan River.
Community meetings organized by The City of Hoboken and a local developer will determine the outcome of a major rezoning initiative known as the Public Works Garage Site Redevelopment Plan. Exterior work is getting very close to completion at 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City, the 15th tallest skyscraper in our annual countdown. Designed by Perkins Eastman, developed by COA 99 Hudson, LLC, and built by Plaza Construction with Vidaris overseeing the exterior envelope, the 79-story, 900-foot-tall residential tower stands as the tallest building in New Jersey.
Construction has topped out on 537 Summit Avenue, the second and tallest building in the three-tower Journal Squared complex in Jersey City. Despite its location across the Hudson River from New York, the 754-foot-tall reinforced concrete skyscraper’s prominent height earns it inclusion at the number-24 spot in YIMBY’s countdown of the tallest current projects in the city. Designed by HWKN/Hollwich Kushner and Handel Architects and developed by Kushner Real Estate Group, the tower stands dominantly over its shorter 563-foot-tall, 53-story sibling.
