Four-Story, Eight-Unit Condo Conversion Wraps Up At 4 Downing Street, Clinton Hill

This past spring, units hit the market at Barrett Design & Development’s conversion of the Broken Angel house at 4 Downing Street, and now the building is nearing completion. Per Brownstoner, the developer is also building a the three-story, two-unit townhouse at 8 Downing Street, and façade and window installation are currently underway. The interiors are still being built out, but completion can be expected in the next few months.

Infrastructure Work Behind Schedule On Final Phase Of Gateway Estates Development, East New York

Gateway Estates, a multi-phased development consisting of affordable residential units and commercial space in southern East New York, is now preparing for its final phase of construction. The city is behind schedule in building the proper infrastructure, and work won’t be finished until late 2017, per the New York Daily News, but 1,295 apartments and 225 homes are planned on the vacant land. Financing is expected to close by the end of this year. Nehemiah, the Department of Design and Construction, Metro Industrial Areas Foundation and Monadnock Construction are developing.



10 Lexington Avenue

Five-Story, 81-Unit Residential Building Rises At 10 Lexington Avenue, Clinton Hill

In the summer of 2014, YIMBY reported on filings for a five-story, 81-unit residential building at 10 Lexington Avenue and 2 Downing Street, in the southern half of Clinton Hill, and now the building is under construction, currently two stories above street level. According to Brownstoner, the building will measure 55,341 square feet in total, and units will average a rental-sized 683 square feet. Joseph Brunner, of Fulton Street Holdings, is developing, and Zambrano Architectural Design is the architect. Completion is expected in the end of 2016.


220 Withers Street

Four Stories, Eight Residential Units Coming To 220 Withers Street, Williamsburg

Sheepshead Bay-based BK Developers Inc. has filed applications for two four-story, four-unit residential buildings at 220-222 Withers Street, in northern Williamsburg, four blocks north of the L train’s stop at Graham Avenue. Eight residential units will spread across 10,102 square feet, for an average unit measuring 1,263 square feet. Igor Zaslavskiy’s Sheepshead Bay-based Zproekt Architecture is designing, and permits were filed earlier this month to demolish existing single- and two-story homes.
