Exterior work is progressing on 3966 Tenth Avenue, a four-story homeless shelter in Inwood, Manhattan. Designed by Edelman Sultan Knox Wood Architects and developed by Lilia Marini-Calves of the Bowery Residents’​ Committee (BRC) and Inwood Housing Development Corporation, the 44-foot-tall structure will yield 12 units with an average scope of 360 square feet, as well as a 30,000-square-foot community facility and a rear yard. M. Stern Architects with Hill West Architects as the architect of record and developed by Naftali Group, the 500-foot-tall structure will span 170,481 square feet and yield 62 condominium units, as well as 3,861 square feet of retail space, two cellar levels, and 33 enclosed parking spaces. The property is alternately addressed as 1481 Second Avenue and located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 77th Street.

The property was formerly occupied by a bus parking lot and is situated on a wide interior lot between Throop and Harrison Avenues.
