Construction has reached the halfway mark on 1487 First Avenue, a 35-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Carmel Partners, which purchased the property from Robert Chou for $73.5 million in early 2022, the 404-foot-tall structure will yield 206 condominium units, 7,120 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a cellar level. CP VII 78th Street Owner is the owner and Carmel Construction East is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the southwestern corner of First Avenue and East 78th Street.

Construction is wrapping up on Anagram, a 26-story residential tower at 1 West 60th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Global Holdings Management Group, the 281-foot-tall structure spans 180,813 square feet and yields 123 rental units with interiors by The Setting, as well as 20,000 square feet of retail space on the first two levels. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor and DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant for the property, which is alternately addressed as 1841 Broadway and located at the corner of Broadway and West 60th Street, just north of Columbus Circle and the southwest corner of Central Park.

New renderings have been revealed for 520 Fifth Avenue, an 88-story residential supertall skyscraper under construction in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Rabina, which took over from Ceruzzi Properties and SMI USA in 2019, the 1,002-foot-tall structure will span 415,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units and commercial space on the ground floor and four cellar levels. WSP is the structural engineer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant, Charles & Co. is the interior designer, and Suffolk Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the northwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 43rd Street, one block north of Bryant Park.

Construction is nearing completion on The Walt Disney Company’s 22-story New York headquarters at 7 Hudson Square in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and developed by Silverstein Properties, 338-foot-tall structure will yield 1.2 million square feet of offices, film and production studios, and ground-floor retail space. Gensler is the interior designer, and Lendlease is the general contractor for the project, which is alternately addressed as 137 Varick Street and formerly addressed as 4 Hudson Square, and stands on an 85,600-square-foot full-block plot bound by Vandam Street to the north, Spring Street to the south, Varick Street to the east, and Hudson Street to the west.
