Exterior work is progressing on 100 South 9th Street, a six-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Archimaera Architecture for Michael Weitzman of Spearhead Contracting, the 32,999-square-foot project involves the partial demolition and repurposing of the Epiphany RC Church and will yield 45 rental units with an average scope of 733 square feet. The development will also include a 15-foot-long rear yard and seven enclosed parking spots in the cellar level. The property is located between South 9th and 10th Streets.

Two-Tower Development Rises Higher at 80 Clarkson Street in West Village, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 80 Clarkson Street, a two-tower residential complex along the Hudson River waterfront in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and SLCE Architects and developed by Zeckendorf Development, Atlas Capital Group, and the Baupost Group, the project consists of 37- and 45-story structures standing 400 and 450 feet tall, respectively. The $1.25 billion development will span approximately 650,000 square feet and yield 100 condominium units, nearly 37,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and enclosed parking for 69 vehicles. The property is bound by Clarkson Street to the north, West Houston Street to the south, the 17-story 570 Washington Street to the east, and West Street to the west.

Designed by INOA Architecture and developed by TCP Realty LLC, the proposed complex recently went through the Zoning Board of Appeals last Wednesday evening at Yonkers City Hall, and is currently under review. The master plan calls for two 32-story structures standing 372 feet tall and  yielding approximately 672 units. The site is located along Woodworth Avenue on an interior lot between Lamartine Avenue to the north and Babcock Place to the south.
