11-Story, 186-Unit Building Planned At 22-12 Jackson Avenue, Long Island City

Adam America and MSD Partners have acquired the development site at 22-12 Jackson Avenue, in Long Island City — a few blocks south of Court Square stations serviced by the 7, E, M, and G trains — for $43.5 million. According to Crain’s Business, the developers plan to construct an 11-story, 186-unit mixed-use building measuring 210,000 square feet. A 5,000 square-foot retail portion is planned for the ground floor, and both ODA and Issac & Stern are designing. A small single-story structure must first be removed.


100 Franklin Street

DDG’s Condo Project Approved At 100 Franklin Street, Tribeca

On adjacent triangular parcels at 100 Franklin Street — between West Broadway and Sixth Avenue, in Tribeca — DDG plans to develop two mixed-use buildings of six and eight stories tall, totaling 10 condominiums, with retail space on the ground floor. According to Crain’s Business, the Board of Standards and Appeals has granted DDG a variance to ignore a required upper-level set-back. The project is being designed in-house, and ground breaking is expected by the Fall, with completion is 2017. The LPC approved the project in January 2014.



520 West 28th Street

Zaha Hadid’s 39-Unit Condo Building Above Street Level At 520 West 28th Street, Chelsea

Six months ago, foundation work was underway at 520 West 28th Street, in West Chelsea, where Related Companies is developing an 11-story, 39-condo-unit building. Now construction is up to the second floor, according to Curbed. Zaha Hadid is designing, and the nearly 149,000 square-foot building will include 11,180 square feet of commercial space, which will be broken into two retail units on the ground floor, according to Schedule A. Completion is expected in 2016.


66 North 3rd Street

Seven-Unit Mixed-Use Building Coming To 66 North 3rd Street, Williamsburg

An anonymous LLC has filed applications for a six-story, seven-unit mixed-use building at the vacant lot at 66 North 3rd Street, two blocks from the East River in North Williamsburg. The building will measure 12,290 square feet, and will feature a retail portion taking up 2,860 square feet on the ground floor. Residential units will average a condo-sized 1,345 square feet, and SRA Architecture + Engineering is the applicant of record.
