Foundation work has begun for the six-story mixed-use building at 805 Washington Avenue, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, as seen in the latest from Tectonic. Construction crews have cleared away much of the lot, and steel has been installed along the perimeter. The site is just a block away from the Brooklyn Museum in Prospect Park, and the Brooklyn Botanical Garden is also nearby.
An anonymous LLC has filed permits for a six-story mixed-use building at 950 55th Street, in Borough Park, Brooklyn. The site is nine blocks away from the Fort Hamilton Parkway Subway station, serviced by the N, Q, and W trains. Slightly further away is the 55th Street station, serviced by the D train. The area has a vibrant Asian community, with dozens of busy restaurants and markets along the nearby 8th Avenue corridor.
Another new addition to Morrisania, in The Bronx, is just months away from completion, at Melrose Commons North Site C, also known as Elton Crossing. YIMBY last reported on the building in September of 2014, when renderings were revealed. Briarwood Organization and Phipps Houses are responsible for development.

The site is seven blocks away from the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue station serviced by the G train, and eight blocks away from the Franklin Avenue station, serviced by the A and C trains. It is nearby the Pratt Institute’s Brooklyn Campus, which could mean it will be marketed towards college students or recent graduates. Renaissance Realty Group is developing.

The location will be about a block away from the 135th Street Station on Malcolm X Boulevard, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains, right next to Harlem’s NYC Health + Hospital facilities. The 135th Street Station on Saint Nicholas Avenue is two blocks farther, serviced by the A, B, and C trains.
