Completion is near for the 10-story, 74-room hotel under construction at 40-47 22nd Street, in northern Long Island City. The property will most likely operate under the Howard Johnson brand, which completed another 10-story hotel four blocks northwest at 38-61 12th Street in 2014. The project’s developer is Ratan Realty Three LLC, with Michael Kang serving as the architect.

An anonymous Corona-based LLC has filed applications for a four-story, seven-unit residential building at 102-14 Radcliff Avenue, in Corona. The project will measure 6,770 square feet and its residential units should average 711 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Gino Longo’s College Point-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 2,500-square-foot property was occupied by a single-story brick townhouse until that was demolished back in August. The Broad Channel Volunteer Fire Department has filed applications for a two-story, 10,510-square-foot fire station at 305 Cross Bay Boulevard, in Broad Channel, Queens. The new facility will feature a garage, offices, and storage space on the ground floor, an equipment room on a mezzanine level, and a meeting room, a kitchen, additional offices, and a dormitory on the second floor. John D. Calcagnile’s Howard Beach-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 23,004-square-foot plot of land is vacant.

Twin Two-Story, Two-Family Houses Coming To 46-31 Bowne Street, East Flushing

A Flushing-based property owner has filed applications for twin two-story, two-family houses at 46-31 and 46-33 Bowne Street, in East Flushing. The buildings will measure 2,557 square feet each, and across both, the residential units should average 859 square feet apiece. There will be a total of two 0ff-street parking spaces. Chang Hwa Tan’s Flushing-based archirecture firm is the architect of record. The 50-foot-wide, 4,750-square-foot plot is currently occupued by a two-story house. Demolition permits were filed in September.
