Sir David Adjaye’s First New York Skyscraper Continues Rising Over the Financial District at 130 William Street

Visible from the Brooklyn Bridge and starting to pop up over its surrounding context, 130 William Street, designed by Sir David Adjaye of Adjaye Associates, is making an early impact on the Lower Manhattan skyline. The future 800-foot-tall and 66-story residential tower will have 244 units when completed. Hill West Architects is the architect of record while Lightstone Group is the developer, and Corcoran Sunshine is in charge of handling sales. 130 William Street is also referred to as the “Wall Street Tower,” and with an eventual 800-foot pinnacle, it is currently the 20th-tallest tower under construction in the Five Boroughs. At topping-out, it will stand eight feet above the Woolworth Building, and six feet shorter than Bloomberg Tower.

21-Story Hotel Coming to 212 Pearl Street in The Financial District

Permits have been filed for a 21-story hotel at 212 Pearl Street in Manhattan’s Financial District. Located at the northeast corner of Pearl Street and Fletcher Street, the proposed hotel is two blocks west of South Street Seaport, a popular tourist spot. The Fulton Street transit center is less than a five-minute walk away, serviced by the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, J and Z trains. George Drallios of Chaon LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Skyline Views From the Top of COOKFOX-Designed 25 Park Row, in Lower Manhatan

YIMBY recently toured COOKFOX’s 25 Park Row, and snapped the sunset and skyline views from the 41st floor of the 49-story, 665-foot tall residential skyscraper. Standing on what would be a full-floor unit, the space will soon be home to some of the best views of both Lower Manhattan, and Midtown to the north. The tower is developed by  L&M Development Partners and the J&R Music Store founders, while sales of the 110 units are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.

Glass Facade Fully Encloses 63-Story 19 Dutch, in The Financial District

Situated along the intersection of Fulton Street and Dutch Street in Lower Manhattan, 19 Dutch ranks 24th on New York City’s list of the thirty tallest skyscrapers currently under construction. Standing 770 feet tall, the 63-story tower will have 483 rental units. The building was designed by New York’s GKV Architects, while SLCE served as the architect of record. Carmel Partners is the developer of the project. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling the leasing and marketing while interiors are being designed by Colum McCartan.

Non-Profit Housing Development Revealed at 270 East 2nd Street in the East Village, Manhattan

Designed by JCJ Architecture, a new housing development will soon take shape in Manhattan’s East Village. Located on an interior lot at 270 East 2nd Street, the property was commissioned by Barrier Free Living, a New York-based non-profit that provides temporary and permanent housing for adults with significant physical disabilities. The new development will will provide both housing and support services for survivors of domestic violence with disabilities.
