262 Fifth Avenue’s Façade Continues to Ascend in NoMad, Manhattan

Façade installation by PG New York incorporating windows, aluminum panels, and solar photovoltaic panels, is picking up on 262 Fifth Avenue, a 56-story residential skyscraper in the heart of NoMad, Manhattan. Designed by Meganom with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Boris Kuzinez of Five Points Development under the Five Points 262 Project LLC, the 860-foot-tall structure will yield 26 condominium units with an average scope of 3,200 square feet, including at least one quadruplex unit. The project stands on a 5,000-square-foot plot at the southwest corner of Fifth Avenue and West 29th Street.

Vertical Progress Imminent For Two-Tower Complex At 80 Clarkson Street in West Village, Manhattan

Construction is about to go vertical at 80 Clarkson Street, an upcoming 29- and 36-story residential complex along the Hudson River waterfront in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by COOKFOX Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Zeckendorf Development, Atlas Capital Group, and The Baupost Group, the 400- and 450-foot tall buildings will yield around 650,000 square feet of space with 100 condominium units, nearly 37,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and enclosed parking for 69 vehicles. ACI VI Clarkson LLC is the owner and Suffolk Construction is the general contractor of the 1.3-acre, $1.25 billion development, which is bound by Clarkson Street to the north, West Houston Street to the south, West Street to the west, and a shorter and separate 19-story structure at 570 Washington Street rising on the same city block along Washington Street to the east. The sales team for 80 Clarkson Street will be led by Dan Tubb and Amy Williamson.

Updated Renderings Revealed for Harborside 8 and 9 in Jersey City, New Jersey

A new batch of renderings has been revealed for Harborside 8 and Harborside 9, a two-skyscraper mixed-use development along the Hudson River waterfront in Jersey City, New Jersey. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Veris Residential, formerly known as Mack-Cali Realty Corp., the project consists of the 68-story, 680-unit Harborside 8 and the 57-story, 579-unit Harborside 9. The latter gained approval from the Jersey City Planning Board last week and will stand 607 feet tall and rise from an eight-story podium. The property is currently occupied by a 169,000-square-foot open-air parking lot bound by 2nd Street to the north, Harborside Place to the south, Hudson Street to the west, and the 18-story 3 Second Street at Harborside office tower immediately to the east.

Foundation work is underway at 79 Quay Street, the site of an 11-story residential building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Strekte Architects and developed by Harry Einhorn of Einhorn Development Group under the 79 Quay Plaza LLC, the 114-foot-tall structure will span 92,390 square feet and yield 140 rental units with an average scope of 701 square feet, as well as 1,287 square feet of commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located at the corner of Quay and West Streets.
