Exterior work is progressing on 101 Fleet Place, a 21-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by JFA Architects & Engineers and developed by The Jay Group under the 101 Fleet Place LLC, the 215-foot-tall structure will span 240,092 square feet and yield 292 rental apartments with an average scope of 806 square feet, as well as 4,645 square feet of commercial space, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 44 enclosed parking spaces. The property was purchased from the Leser Group for $40 million in December 2021 and is located on an interior lot between Myrtle Avenue to the north and Willoughby Street to the south.

Construction is close to topping out on 71 Prince Street, a 31-story residential building in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Maddd Equities, the $132 million project is expected to span 436,600 square feet and yield 465 rental units, 4,000 square feet of retail space, and 40 to 50 enclosed parking spots. Brooklyn Red Sauce LLC is listed as the owner of the property, which is alternately addressed as 202 Tillary Street and located on a 19,500-square-foot L-shaped parcel with frontages on Prince and Tillary Streets.

Updated Renderings Revealed For Foster + Partners’ PENN15 Supertall Proposal in Midtown, Manhattan

A new series of renderings has been released for PENN15, a proposed commercial supertall skyscraper at 15 Penn Plaza in MidtownManhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the project’s scope was recently reduced from 56 to 50 stories and 1,200 feet to 1,000 feet, and will now yield 2.2 million square feet of office space, down from 2.7 million. The property is located along Seventh Avenue between West 32nd and 33rd Streets, directly across from Penn Station.

Construction is rising on 89 Dekalb Avenue, a 30-story mixed-use building in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by RXR, the 348-foot-tall structure will span 289,000 square feet and yield 324 rental apartments with 98 rent-stabilized units, as well as 55,000 square feet of academic space for Long Island University, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, two loading berths, nearly 15,000 square feet of amenities, and an enclosed parking garage for up to 198 vehicles with electric vehicle charging stations. Whitehall Interiors is the interior designer, and RXR LIU PII Developer TRS LLC is listed as the owner of the property, which is located on an interior lot by the corner of Dekalb Avenue and Ashland Place.
