Construction is rising on 1487 First Avenue, a 35-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by Carmel Partners, which purchased the property from Robert Chou for $73.5 million in early 2022, the 404-foot-tall structure will yield 206 condominium units, 7,120 square feet of ground-floor retail space, and a cellar level. CP VII 78th Street Owner is the owner and Carmel Construction East is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the southwestern corner of First Avenue and East 78th Street.

Construction is wrapping up on Anagram, a 25-story residential at 1 West 60th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Global Holdings Management Group, the 281-foot-tall structure spans 180,813 square feet and yield 123 market-rate and affordable housing units with interiors by The Setting, as well as 20,000 square feet of retail space on the first two levels. Pavarini McGovern is the general contractor and DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the façade consultant for the property, which is alternately addressed as 1841 Broadway and located at the corner of Broadway and West 60th Street, just north of Columbus Circle and the southwest corner of Central Park.

Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by MRR Development under the MRR 1326 LLC, the 346-foot-tall structure will yield 147 condominium units with an average scope of 1,156 square feet, as well as 5,000 square feet of lower-level retail space. WSP USA is the engineer and Plaza Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is being constructed on an L-shaped parcel at the corner of East 56th Street and Lexington Avenue, with a narrow extension to East 57th Street.

Construction is rising on 125 West 57th Street, a 26-story commercial building on Billionaires’ Row in MidtownManhattan. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Alchemy-ABR Investment Partners and Cain International, the 440-foot-tall structure will span 260,000 square feet and yield 185,000 square feet of Class A office space, 7,000 square feet of retail space, and a new home for the Calvary Baptist Church, which has operated on the site since 1883 and sold the property to the developers for $150 million in 2017. Leading Builders Group is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Sixth and Seventh Avenues between Christian de Portzamparc‘s One57 and SHoP Architects111 West 57th Street.
