50 Ninth Avenue Completes Construction in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction wraps up on 50 Ninth Avenue, a nine-story commercial renovation and expansion at the intersection of Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, and the West Village. Designed by BKSK Architects for Tavros Capital with Fogarty Finger responsible for all interiors and the storefront, the project involved the restoration of a row of landmarked townhomes and the construction of an office structure set back from the street, and yields 57,000 square feet of office space and 30,000 square feet of flexible retail space. Broadway Construction Group is the general contractor for the project. The property is alternately addressed as 351-355 West 14th Street and located at the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 14th Street.

The Ellery Nears Completion At 312 West 43rd Street in Hell’s Kitchen, Manhattan

Construction is almost finished on The Ellery, a 33-story mixed-use tower at 312 West 43rd Street on the southern border of Hell’s Kitchen in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by National Real Estate Advisors and Taconic Partners, the 401-foot-tall structure will yield 330 rental units in studio to two-bedrooms layouts, as well as 28,000 square feet of amenities and up to 42,000 square feet of retail space spread across two levels. The property is located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, directly north of the Port Authority Bus Terminal and its subway station, servicing the A, C, and E trains.

New Renderings Reveal Port Authority Bus Terminal Overhaul in Midtown, Manhattan

Additional renderings and diagrams have been revealed for the proposed overhaul of the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and Epstein as a joint venture for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ), the $10 billion project will replace the 74-year-old, 2.1-million-square-foot structure spanning two city blocks between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and West 40th and 42nd Streets. The City Planning Commission has just begun the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) to hear from the public and local community.

Façade Installation Progresses on 200 East 75th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Façade installation is moving along on 200 East 75th Street, an 18-story residential building in the Lenox Hill section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by EJS Development, which purchased the property for $32.5 million in March 2021, the 214-foot-tall structure will span 97,569 square feet and yield 36 condominium units and ground-floor retail space. The property is alternately addressed as 1305-1307 Third Avenue and located at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 75th Street.

211 West 84th Street Rises on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction is rising on 211 West 84th Street, an 18-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Hill West Architects is serving as the architect of record and is being developed by Naftali Group, which purchased the assemblage of properties for $71 million in 2022. The 209-foot-tall structure will span 154,598 square feet and yield 45 condominium units with an average scope of 3,371 square feet, as well as 2,898 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a cellar level, and 17 enclosed parking spaces. The project occupies nearly 250 feet from the corner of Broadway to the middle of the block.
