Construction is rising on 711 Seventh Avenue, a 32-story hotel tower in Times Square. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architect and developed in a joint venture between general contractor Flintlock Construction Services and Atlas Hospitality under the 711 Seventh Hotel Associates LLC, the 343-foot-tall structure will yield 400 guest rooms under IHG Hotel & Resorts’ voco brand. Capital Industries served as the demolition contractor for the three low-rise former occupants of the L-shaped parcel, which has frontage along Seventh Avenue and West 48th Street.

Construction is nearing topping out on 8-29 Astoria Boulevard, a six-story mixed-use building in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Angelo Ng & Anthony Ng Architects Studio and developed by Rukhsana Samdani of Astoria Boulevard Construction, the 58-foot-tall structure will span 58,619 square feet and yield 47 rental units with an average scope of 691 square feet, as well as 5,527 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, and 32 enclosed parking spaces. DLC Development Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is situated on an interior lot between 8th and 12th Streets.

Designed by J Frankl Associates and developed by Bruman Realty, the 204-foot-tall structure spans 289,000 square feet and yields 165 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts with leasing by Nooklyn, as well as a 101-vehicle parking garage. Designed by INC Architecture & Design and developed by Dart Interests, the 347-foot-tall Art Deco-inspired building will yield 66 condominium units in studio to three-bedroom layouts with prices ranging from $1.005 million to $3.95 million. Brown Harris Stevens Development is managing sales and marketing for the homes, SLCE Architects is the executive architect, CM & Associates is the general contractor, and Zeckendorf Development is the co-development manager for the project, which stands near the corner of Second Avenue and East 62nd Street.

Construction is progressing on the lower levels of One High Line, a pair of twisting structures at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Witkoff Group and Access Industries, the 36- and 26-story structures will span 900,000 square feet and yield 236 condominium units in one- to five-bedroom layouts, as well as a hotel component operated by Faena Hotel, ground-floor retail space, and a new plaza separately designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Field Operations. Suffolk Construction is the general contractor, Enea Landscape Architecture is the landscape architect, and Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is alternately addressed as 76 Eleventh Avenue and stands adjacent to the High Line on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 18th Street to the north, West 17th Street to the south, Tenth Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.
