Construction is set to commence on the West New York Middle School at 6400–6415 Broadway in West New York, New Jersey. Designed by DMR Architects, the 162,000-square-foot structure will accommodate 862 students from grades six through eight with 30 classrooms. The project will also include six science laboratories, a STEAM lab, dance studio, three art rooms, and separate areas for instrumental and vocal music classes. The property is located between 64th and 65th Streets.

Residential Conversion Revealed for Former Jehovah’s Witness Headquarters at 25–30 Columbia Heights in Brooklyn Heights

New renderings have been revealed for the proposed residential conversion of the former Jehovah’s Witness global headquarters at 25–30 Columbia Heights in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by CIM Group, the project will involve a vertical expansion of two buildings in the former Watchtower Building complex and will yield 661 rental apartments, with 25 percent designated as affordable housing. The development will also include 113,000 square feet of commercial space and community facility space. The five interconnected office and warehouse buildings are located around the intersection of Columbia Heights and Vine Street, directly across from Hillside Dog Park.

Construction is about to go vertical at 24-19 Jackson Avenue, a 55-story residential skyscraper in the Court Square section of Long Island City, Queens. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Charney Companies and Tavros Capital in partnership with Incoco Capital, the 676-foot-tall structure will yield 600 apartments and 10,000 square feet of retail space. The 18,000-square-foot property is bounded by 45th Avenue to the north, Jackson Avenue to the southeast, and 23rd Street to the west.

Construction is wrapping up on 660 Lexington Avenue, an 18-story residential building in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by S20M and developed by Rybak Development, the 233-foot-tall structure spans 52,558 square feet and yields 31 condominium units with an average scope of 2,123 square feet. The project also contains 2,551 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, 1,174 square feet of community facility space, and a cellar level. Zproekt Architecture was the project architect, and Paris Forino is the interior designer for the property, which is alternately addressed as 133 East 55th Street and located at the corner of Lexington Avenue and East 55th Street.

Designed by IMC Architecture and developed by Bermuda Realty, the 105-foot-tall structure will span 49,385 square feet. The school will occupy 46,066 square feet and have a capacity of 500 students. The project will also contain 3,318 square feet of commercial space and a cellar level. The property is located at the intersection of New Lots and Van Siclen Avenues.
