The property is located at the intersection of Metropolitan and Bushwick Avenues and was formerly occupied by two townhouses, a gas station, and a surface-level parking lot.

Designed by Meshberg Groupp Architects P.C. for 45 Graham Ave LLC, the structure yields 35 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, with 11 units dedicated to affordable housing, as well as ground-floor retail space. The property is located at the corner of Varet Street and Avenue of Puerto Rico.

95-25 Waltham Street Nears Completion in Jamaica, Queens

Designed by Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng Architects for Amar Marketing enterprise 2 LLC, the 158-foot-tall structure will yield 52 rental apartments with an average scope of 767 square feet, as well as a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and 15 enclosed parking spaces. The project is situated on an interior lot between 95th and 97th Avenues.

NJPAC Breaks Ground On $336 Million Campus Redevelopment in Newark, New Jersey

The New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has broken ground on $336 million mixed-use campus redevelopment in Newark, New Jersey. Designed by multiple architects including Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the 12-acre master plan involves the construction of two new buildings along with the renovation of two existing structures, and will yield mixed-income housing, community center space, and a new public park. The site is bound by Rector Street to the north, the intersection of Mulberry Street and Kitchell Place to the south, McCarter Highway and the NJPAC-Center Street light rail stop to the east, and Park Place to the west.

1333 Broadway Nears Completion in Bushwick, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 1333 Broadway, a 22-story mixed-use building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by GF55 Architects and developed by Ekstein Development Group under the 1333 Broadway LLC, the 206-foot-tall structure will span 136,000 square feet and yield 115 rental units, with 30 thirty percent dedicated to affordable housing, as well as office space, a community facility, and ground-floor retail. The property is located on a rectangular parcel at the intersection of Broadway and Linden Street.

Demolition to Begin for New Louis Vuitton Flagship at 1 East 57th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Demolition preparations are underway for a redesigned Louis Vuitton flagship store and office building at 1 East 57th Street in Midtown, Manhattan. Developed by parent company LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which recently completed a similar renovation and expansion of the Tiffany & Co. flagship across 57th Street at 720 Fifth Avenue, the project could potentially increase the scope of Louis Vuitton’s 20-story structure to more than double its current size, from 91,060 to 230,000 square feet. The property is located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and East 57th Street along Billionaires’ Row.

Nova Towers Gains Approval From Historic Preservation Commission of Newark, New Jersey

The Newark Landmarks and Historic Preservation Commission has approved Nova Towers, a two-tower residential proposal set to rise at 16-38 William Street in the Four Corners Historic District in downtown Newark, New Jersey. Designed by INOA Architecture and developed by KS Group LLC, the structures are planned to both stand 488 feet tall and yield a combined 712 residential units in studio to two-bedroom layouts. The property currently features a number of low-rise commercial structures that will have to be demolished, and is bound by William Street to the north, a surface level parking lot to the south, Chapel Court to the east, and Halsey Street to the west.

77 Gerry Street Nears Completion in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction nears completion on 77 Gerry Street, a five-story residential building in the Broadway Triangle section of South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Studio Gallos for Congregation Divrei Yoel, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 37,183 square feet and yield 14 units with an average scope of 1,877 square feet, as well as a 10,904-square-foot community facility on levels one through three. The formerly vacant property is situated on an interior lot between Throop and Harrison Avenues.

Silverstein Properties Unveils Scale Models of 2 and 5 World Trade Center Skyscrapers in Financial District, Manhattan

Developer Silverstein Properties recently debuted a series of architectural models to preview the latest designs of 2 and 5 World Trade Center in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners, 2 World Trade Center is planned to rise 80 stories and 1,348 feet tall, just 20 feet shorter than the roof height of 1 World Trade Center, and will yield office space. Kohn Pedersen Fox is the designer for 5 World Trade Center, a residential skyscraper co-developed by Brookfield Properties with a planned height of 920 feet. The 2 World Trade Center plot is located within the original 16-acre World Trade Center complex bound by Vesey, Fulton, Greenwich, and Church Streets. The 5 World Trade Center site is located to the south of Liberty Park and bound by Greenwich, Albany, and Washington Streets.
