Construction Goes Vertical on 68-Story Skyscraper at 100 West 37th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 100 West 37th Street, a 68-story mixed-use skyscraper in the Garment District of Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by C3D Architecture and developed by Sioni Group under the 989 Sixth Realty LLC, the 785-foot-tall structure will span 384,118 square feet and yield 300 condominium units with an average scope of 991 square feet, as well as 86,817 square feet of commercial space and two cellar levels. The property is alternately addressed as 989-993 Sixth Avenue and located at the intersection of Sixth Avenue and West 37th Street.

335 Eighth Avenue’s Brick Façade Begins Installation in Chelsea, Manhattan

Façade installation is steadily progressing on 335 Eighth Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by MAG Partners and Mutual Redevelopment Houses, Inc., the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 188 rental units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, a 23,000-square-foot Lidl supermarket, and additional ground-floor retail space. Thirty percent of the homes will be reserved for affordable housing. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the ground-up property, which is located at the corner of Eighth Avenue and West 26th Street within the Penn South affordable housing cooperative, officially known as Mutual Redevelopment Houses.

1 Park Point Wraps Up Construction in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn

Construction is finishing up on 1 Park Point, a 13-story residential building in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Focus Property Group, a subsidiary of JEMB Realty, the 145-foot-tall structure will span 395,726 square feet and yield 375 rental units with an average scope of 798 square feet, as well as 5,388 square feet of retail space, 18,850 square feet of community space, a cellar level, and 106 enclosed parking spaces. Twenty-five percent of the residential units will be dedicated to affordable housing. Pavarini McGovern served as the general contractor for the property, which was formerly addressed as 11 Ocean Parkway and is located on Machate Circle at the southwestern corner of Prospect Park, bound by Ocean Parkway, Coney Island Avenue, and Caton Place.

Façade Installation Progresses on 204 4th Avenue in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Façade installation is moving along on 204 4th Avenue, a 13-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by L+Z Architecture and developed by Avery Hall and Gindi Capital, the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 193 rental units and 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The property is alternately addressed as 655 Union Street and bound by Sackett Street to the north and Raul Vasquez Jr. Place to the south.

Renovation Work Wraps Up At 27 Park Place in Tribeca, Manhattan

Renovation work is finishing up on 27 Park Place, a five-story commercial building in Tribeca. Designed by Michael Schmitt Architect PC, the project involves a full interior and exterior refurbishment following a six-alarm fire that heavily damaged the structure in 2017. The property is bound by Murray Street to the north, Park Place to the south, and Church Street to the west.

Exterior Work Continues on 1 Park Row in Financial District, Manhattan

Façade installation is progressing on 1 Park Row, a 23-story mixed-use building in Lower Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Fogarty Finger Architects and developed by Circle F Capital, which received a $90 million construction loan from Parkview Financial in 2021, the 305-foot-tall structure will span 103,000 square feet and yield 58 condominium units in one- to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 19,000 square feet of office and retail space on the lower levels. 1 Park Row Development LLC is the owner of the property, which is located at the intersection of Park Row and Ann Street, directly across from the southern tip of City Hall Park.

Foundations Take Shape For 64-Story Residential Skyscraper at 111 Washington Street in Financial District, Manhattan

Foundations are progressing at 111 Washington Street, the site of a 64-story residential skyscraper in Manhattan’s Financial District. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Carlisle New York Apartments and Grubb Properties, which closed on a $48 million loan for the project last summer, the 712-foot-tall structure will span 326,221 square feet and yield 462 residential units, 7,000 square feet of commercial space, and a 60-foot-long rear yard. The development is alternately addressed as 8 Carlisle Street and located at the corner of Washington and Carlisle Streets, south of the nearby World Trade Center complex.

380 4th Avenue’s Exterior Takes Shape in Gowanus, Brooklyn

Exterior work is progressing on 380 4th Avenue, a 17-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by GF55 Architects and developed by Quinlan Development Group LLC, the 175-foot-tall structure will span 211,650 square feet and yield 197 rental units with an average scope of 830 square feet, as well as 6,030 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, a cellar level, a 40-foot-long rear yard, and 30 enclosed parking spaces. Fifty of the units will be designated as affordable housing. The $78 million project is located between 3rd and 6th Streets.

Best Western Hotel Tops Out at 319-321 West 38th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction has topped out on 319-321 West 38th Street, a 26-story Best Western Hotel in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Gene Kaufman Architect and developed by 319 West 38th Steel LP, the 250-foot-tall structure will span 44,200 square feet with an undisclosed number of hotel rooms and a collection of amenities. The property stands on two adjoining interior plots between Eighth and Ninth Avenues.

Demolition Continues for SOM-Designed Skyscraper at 12 West 57th Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Demolition continues at 12 West 57th Street, the site of a proposed 52-story, 672-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill and developed by Sheldon Solow of Solow Management Corp., who filed permits for the ground-up project in 2019, the tower will rise along Billionaires’ Row between Fifth and Sixth Avenues and West 56th and 57th Streets. The tower will rise on an assemblage formerly occupied by multiple low- and mid-rise buildings between 10 and 20 West 57th Street.
