Exterior work is continuing to progress on 250 East 83rd Street, a 31-story residential tower in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure will yield 128 residential units with interiors by Lemay_id, as well as ground-floor retail space. Cauldwell Wingate Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Aloft Hotel’s Glass Façade Nears Completion at 450 Eleventh Avenue in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Façade work is nearing the finish line on 450 Eleventh Avenue, a 51-story hotel skyscraper in Hudson Yards. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group, the 642-foot-tall structure will house a 379-room Aloft Hotel along with guest amenities such as a business center, a ballroom, and a fourth-floor restaurant with a bar and outdoor terrace. Custom Metalcrafters supplied the curtain wall and Atria Builders is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of West 37th Street and Eleventh Avenue, directly across from the Jacob K. Javits Center.

Excavation and pilings are underway at 1187 Fulton Street, the site of a four-story mixed-use building near the border of Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Magnusson Architecture and Planning, PC and developed in a partnership by the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation and St. Nicks Alliance, the 45-foot-tall structure will span 5,115 square feet and yield three affordable units with an average scope of 1,220 square feet, as well as 1,456 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a cellar level, and a 30-foot-long rear yard. Dekalb Commons NY LLC listed as the owner and Shamus Contracting Co. Inc. is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Spencer Place and Bedford Avenue.

1522 First Avenue Rises Above Street Level on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is rising on 1522 First Avenue, a 30-story medical office building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by Extell Development Company, the structure will yield 400,000 square feet of Class A office space and retail space on the ground floor and cellar levels. The Hospital for Special Surgery has signed on as the anchor tenant and will occupy 200,000 square feet across the first eight stories of the building. Ancora Engineering is the engineer of record and Lendlease is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 403 East 79th Street and located between East 79th and 80th Streets.

Construction is rising on 1215 Fulton Street, a residential and hotel development consisting of two ten-story buildings and one four-to-six story building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Time Square Development Group, it was last reported that the 150-foot-tall structure will span 238,751 square feet with 67,718 square feet designated for residential space spit among 87 co-living units including studios, two-, and three-bedroom layouts with an average scope of 451 square feet, and 93,630 square feet for commercial use with 249 hotel rooms, as well as cellar level, amenities, and 95 enclosed parking spots. Fulton Property Owner, LLC is listed as the owner and Triton Construction Company, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 12 Halsey Street and located on a T-shaped lot bound by Halsey Street to the north and Fulton Street to the south.
