The Upper West Side’s New Tallest Tower Begins Gaining Prominence, at 200 Amsterdam Avenue

Construction at 200 Amsterdam Avenue is quickly rising above the surrounding rooftops. When topped out, the 668-foot-tall residential development will hold the title of tallest skyscraper on the Upper West Side until Extell‘s 775-foot tall tower at 50 West 66th Street tops out. The building is designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, which was responsible for The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards. SJP Properties is the developer while CetraRuddy is the lead interior designer. The 283,000-square-foot project, which sits at the southwestern corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 70th Street, will yield 112 residential units.

Level One Holdings Launches Sales at 10 Lenox Avenue in South Harlem

Following several years of construction and development, Level One Holdings has officially launched sales at 10 Lenox Avenue in South Harlem. Located on the corner of 111 Street and Lennox Avenue, the eight-story building contains a collection of 29 condominium units, multiple outdoor areas, and clear views of Central Park.

Copper Dome Proposed for St. John the Divine Heads to Landmarks for Approval

This week New York City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission will consider proposals to help preserve and rehabilitate the massive, vaulted dome ceiling of The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine. If approved, the structure’s existing granite dome would be encased by a bronze-hued copper enclosure.

DDG’s Gaudi-Inspired 180 East 88th Street Gets Its Curtain Wall on The Upper East Side

The exterior curtain wall at 180 East 88th Street is making substantial progress as it swiftly encloses the 31-story reinforced concrete structure. The tower is now the tallest skyscraper on the Upper East Side above 72nd Street, with design by DDG. HTO Architects is serving as the architect of record, and Petersen Tegl, a Denmark-based firm, is in charge of the Kolumba masonry brick facade. The property will yield around 130,000 square feet of residential space when complete, averaging over 2,700 square feet per unit. There will be 52,000 square feet of communal facilities on the lower floors, and the remaining 1,100 square feet will be dedicated to commercial use.

301 East 81st Street Tops Out As Brick Curtain Wall Installation Continues on the Upper East Side

Back in January, YIMBY released new renderings of 301 East 81st Street, aka 1562 Second Avenue that showed a two-story addition to the tower. Now, the upcoming residential building has topped out over the Upper East Side, as facade installation continues. Designed by Studio Sofield and SLCE Architects, the 215-foot-tall structure stands 19 stories high and is being developed by Icon Realty Management. There will be 28 condominiums, a second-floor amenity space, and future retail space on the cellar and ground floor.

Condo Project at 310 East 86th Street Will Double in Size, On The Upper East Side

New plans for 310 East 86th Street will see the condominium project nearly double in size. Located in the Upper East Side neighborhood of Yorkville between First and Second Avenues, and only steps away from the Q and R trains at the 86th Street subway station, the site made news recently after Izaki Group Investments purchased and acquired three apartment buildings from Extell.

Dahlia Launches Sales at 212 West 95th Street on the Upper West Side, Manhattan

This week Reuveni Real Estate launched sales at Dahlia, a new condominium property at 212 West 95th Street. Designed by CetraRuddy with RKTB Architects serving as the architect of record, the 20-story building topped-off earlier this year. Occupancy is expected on begin in Spring 2020.

In an exciting reveal, Extell Development has unveiled new renderings of the residential amenity package within The Kent, a new mixed-use tower at 200 East 95th Street. Located between Adam Clayton Powell Jr Boulevard and Frederick Douglass Boulevard, the interior lot is one city block south of the 135th Street subway station, serviced by the A, B, and C trains. Yaniv Garbo under the 264 West 135 Residence LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
