Exterior work is continuing on 209 West 96th Street, an eight-story medical building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by HJ Architects, the structure will span approximately 24,000 square feet and yield an undisclosed number of residential units, a cellar level, and ground-floor retail space. The 3,100-square-foot interior lot is located by the intersection of Broadway and West 96th Street.
The tallest, largest, and most expensive new development condo on Manhattan’s East Side is now on the market. Located in the 850-foot-tall Sutton Tower, Penthouse 80 spans over 9,100 square feet and is priced at $65 million. Sutton Tower, is the tallest residential building on Manhattan’s East Side waterfront, and is designed by Danish designer Thomas Juul-Hansen. Sutton Tower is developed by JVP Development and Gamma Real Estate. Corcoran Sunshine is the exclusive sales and marketing agent.
Recently 212 West 72nd Street on the Upper West Side reached its 65 percent sold milestone. Located at the intersection of West 72nd Street and Broadway, the building was once known as The Corner, a rental property. Centurion Property Investors redeveloped the property with CetraRuddy Architecture, bringing 106 residences to market with roomy interiors, open living areas, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
New renderings have been revealed for Children’s Museum of Manhattan at 361 Central Park West on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by FXCollaborative, the $300 million project involves the repurposing of a century-old church overlooking Central Park, and will yield 80,000 square feet of exhibit space across seven stories, more than doubling the visitor capacity of its current location on West 83rd Street. The property is located at the corner of West 96th Street and Central Park West.
Permits have been filed for a nine-story community facility building at 478 West 130th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located between Amsterdam Avenue and Convent Avenue, the lot is closest to the 125th Street subway station, served by the A, B, C, and D trains. Charles Carroll of Urban Resource Institute is listed as the owner behind the applications.
