Permits have been filed for a single-story community facility building at 2000 Shore Parkway in Gravesend, Brooklyn. The structure will include office space, a maintenance shop, and equipment storage space for the benefit of nearby gardens, sports fields, and playgrounds. A portion will serve as a public comfort station, and district headquarters for the department. It will be located in Calvert Vaux Park, an athletics, leisure, and nature-spotting destination that borders with Coney Island.

Permits Filed for 894 Fountain Avenue, East New York, Brooklyn

New permits have been filed for a mixed-use building at 894 Fountain Street, in East New York, Brooklyn. The extant multi-building complex is owned by the State of New York and was previously the home of the Brooklyn Developmental Center.

Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 87-83 168th Street, in Jamaica, Queens. The site is seven blocks away from the Parson Boulevard Subway Station, serviced by the E and F trains. Six blocks further is the Jamaica Center Subway Station, the final stop for the E, J and Z trains. Ziyana Properties will be responsible for the development.

Permits Filed, Rendering Revealed for 250 Lenox Road, East Flatbush, Brooklyn

Permits have been filed by an anonymous LLC for a seven-story mixed-use building at 250 Lenox Road, in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Church Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Eight blocks away is the Parkside Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the Q train, at the Southeast corner of Prospect Park. The property was sold in mid-December of last year for $1.9 million.

Permits Filed for 2317 Cambreleng Avenue, Belmont, the Bronx

Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 2317 Cambreleng Avenue in Belmont, a neighborhood known as ‘the Little Italy of the Bronx.’ The site is equidistantly a mile away from the 182-183^rd Street Subway Station, and the West Farms Square Subway Station, with the first serviced by the B and D trains, and the 2 and 5 trains passing through the latter. Seven blocks away is the Bronx Zoo. Stagg Group NY is responsible for the development.

Permits have been filed for a five-story school at 1829 Nostrand Avenue, in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The site is one block away from the Newkirk Avenue and Nostrand Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. The project will replace a single-story commercial building that was once home to a Duane Reade. David Bawabeh of Bawabeh Realty Holdings will be responsible for the development. This would be the second school by the company that YIMBY has reported on, the first being at 644 Gates Avenue.

The site is one block away from the Hunts Point Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 6 train, and eight blocks away from the Intervale Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Rainey Park is also nearby, with three baseball fields. The NYC-based non-profit Community Access is responsible for the development.
