New Renderings Revealed for Mixed-Use Residential Property at 45 Dash Place in Riverdale, The Bronx

Renderings from Kutnicki Bernstein Architects reveal a modified exterior design for 45 Dash Place, a rental building under construction in the Riverdale section of The Bronx. The new illustrations depict ornamental masonry and dark metal framing surrounding all windows facing Dash Place, similarly-hued metal canopies and pin signage above entrances at both the front and rear elevations, and a three-story community facility that will function as a school.

52-03 and 52-41 Center Boulevard Nearing Completion in Hunters Point South, Queens

Exterior work is getting close to completion on 52-03 Center Boulevard, a 587-foot-tall skyscraper in Hunters Point, Queens, and its shorter 475-foot-tall sibling at 52-41 Center Boulevard. Designed by ODA Architecture with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the 46- and 56-story towers are part of TF Cornerstone‘s Hunters Point South development, which is set to yield a grand total of 1,194 residential units. Of these, 719 will be designated for affordable housing. 52-03 and 52-41 Center Boulevard are situated along the waterfront esplanade of the East River and are bound by Center Boulevard to the west, Borden Avenue to the north, 2nd Street to the east, and 54th Avenue to the south.

12,000-Square-Foot Supermarket Revealed for New Affordable Housing Complex in Bedford Park, The Bronx

The next phase of development at 2856 Webster Avenue, a new affordable housing complex in Bedford Park, The Bronx will introduce a sprawling new grocery store operated by Cherry Valley Marketplace. The retailer has committed to operate under guidelines established New York City’s Food Retail Expansion to Support Heath (FRESH) program, which promotes the establishment and retention of grocery stores that dedicate required selling space to perishable food items within underserved communities.

Multi-Tower Calyer Place Development Steadily Rises in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Construction is rising on Calyer Place, a nearly 1 million-square-foot waterfront residential development in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by Cooper Robertson & Partners with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by M&H Realty LLC, the project consists of a pair of 40-story towers along with 32- and 22-story siblings, and will yield 700,000 square feet of residential space with 700 apartments, 10,000 square feet of commercial space, 7,160 square feet for unspecified community facility use, and over 600 parking spaces. The site was once home to the historic Greenpoint Terminal Market, which suffered a ten-alarm fire and was demolished in 2017.

Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 39 West 128th Street in Harlem, Manhattan. Located between Fifth Avenue and Lenox Avenue, the site is three blocks north of the 125th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 3 trains. Taso Vassiliou of non-profit developer The Bridge Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

New Renderings Released for The Alloy Block at 80 and 100 Flatbush Avenue, in Downtown Brooklyn

A new series of street-level and aerial renderings have been revealed for The Alloy Block, a two-tower mixed-use development designed and developed by Alloy Development and located at 80 Flatbush Avenue and 100 Flatbush Avenue on the border of Downtown Brooklyn and Boerum Hill. Renderings depict the 482-foot-tall 100 Flatbush Avenue, a 44-story edifice being built in phase one at the corner of Flatbush Avenue and State Street, which will be the city’s first all-electric tower.

First Phase of Emerson Lofts Makes Progress in Jersey City, New Jersey

Construction is progressing on the first phase of Emerson Lofts, a four-tower, 2-million-square-foot mixed-use development along the border of Jersey City and Hoboken, New Jersey. Designed by Urban Architecture, LLC and developed by Manhattan Building Company, the four-phase project spans 3.5 acres. The first phase topped out last winter, and curtain wall installation is now nearing completion. Work on the ground floor of the 304-foot-tall, 26-floor reinforced concrete superstructure first occurred in March 2020 and the building steadily climbed throughout last year. The site is addressed as 259 Coles Street and rises on a formerly vacant plot that sits along Coles Street between 15th Street to the north and the I-78 West and 139 onramp to the south. 259 Coles Street will yield a total of 350 homes, 307 parking spaces, 10,040 square feet of retail space, and a 23,900-square-foot public use facility.

The Grand Mulberry Nears Completion at 185 Grand Street in Little Italy, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on The Grand Mulberry, a seven-story mixed-use building at 185 Grand Street in Little Italy. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Be-Aviv and Nexus Development Group, the property will yield 20 residential units above ground-floor retail space and the Italian American Museum. The project is located at the corner of Mulberry and Grand Streets.

Located at the intersection of Seaview Avenue and Fountain Avenue, the corner lot is closest to the New Lots Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. David Dishy of L+M Development Partners under the VBK C1 OWNER LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Developers Celebrate Ribbon Cutting for Affordable Housing at Dr. Joan O. Dawson Plaza in Harlem, Manhattan

This week, developers and city officials celebrated the official opening of Camber Property Group‘s new affordable senior housing development in Harlem. The Dr. Joan O. Dawson Plaza, formerly known as Victory Plaza, is a 100-percent affordable complex with 136 units developed by Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement (HCCI) in partnership with Camber. The building was renamed in honor of Dr. Joan O. Dawson, the longtime chair of the Board of Directors at HCCI. Although residents began moving into the development in February, the official ribbon cutting was delayed until now.
