This week, Brooklyn’s Community Board 3 unanimously approved proposals to construct a new mixed-use affordable housing property at 1045 Atlantic Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.
A trio of local developers is working in collaboration to rezone and redevelop a large swath of 31st Street in Astoria, Queens. The area comprises 24 adjacent lots and four distinct development sites between Hoyt Avenue North and 23rd Road.
Permits have been filed for a four-story community facility building adjacent to the PS 26Q – Rufus King School campus at 195-15 73rd Avenue in Fresh Meadows, Queens. Located between 195th and 196 Streets, the lot is closest to the 179th Street subway station, serviced by the E and F trains. New York City School Construction Authority is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Preliminary renderings have been revealed for 1045 Atlantic Avenue, a proposed 17-story mixed-use building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The structure is planned to yield over 477,000 square feet of floor space with a mix of residential, retail, office space, and community facilities.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for Caton Flats, a 14-story mixed-use residential building at 800 Flatbush Avenue in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Designed by Magnusson Architecture And Planning and developed through a partnership between BRP Companies, Housing Preservation and Development, the Housing Development Corporation, and the Caribbean-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the structure will also yield 5,000 square feet of supplemental community space owned and operated by the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry and 10,000 square feet of local retail. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 254 units for residents at 40 to 165 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $21,635 to $244,200.
