The vacant 10-story clock tower at 29-27 Queens Plaza North, in Long Island City, will likely be landmarked in the coming weeks, according to DNAinfo. The property owners, Hakin Organization and Property Markets Group, plan to renovate the building to accommodate office space, and possibly retail. The owners are also planning the development of a 77-story, 930-unit mixed-use building at the adjacent lot 29-37 41st Street.
An LLC has filed applications for an eight-story, 15,150 square-foot health care facility at 2846 Stillwell Avenue, on Coney Island. Ruslan Goychayev, of RSLN Architecture, is designing the project, which will be directly across the Stillwell Ave subway stop serviced by the D, F, N and Q lines. An existing two-story structure must first be demolished.
Developer Argo Real Estate is moving forward with plans to convert the tony 16-story rental building at 360 Central Park West into luxury condos, and YIMBY has a rendering and a few details on their plans. CetraRuddy Architects will craft the interiors for the revamped 146-unit building, which will sport a mix of one to four-bedrooms.
The century-old building at 27 East 62nd Street will be getting a little more space and some restorative work, thanks to Tuesday’s approval from the Landmarks Preservation Commission. The building was designed by Lawlor and Haase and completed in 1913. It sits just east of Madison Avenue.
