Construction crews are now laying foundations for a new multifamily rental building at 1591 Broadway in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Led by local developer Abe Greenhut doing business as Broadway Halsey Lofts LLC, the seven-story structure will eventually comprise 12,477 square feet, with 18 apartments and a 1,888-square-foot commercial business on the ground floor.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 659 East 222nd Street, a four-story residential building in Wakefield, The Bronx. Designed by Fred Geremia Architects and Planners and developed by Ed Lekaj of Bond Construction, the structure yields ten residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $74,572 to $156,130.
Façade work is progressing on 312 West 43rd Street, a 33-story residential building on the southern border of Hell’s Kitchen in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by National Real Estate Advisors and Taconic Partners, the structure will yield 330 rental units, 28,000 square feet of amenities, and two floors of retail space. DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer and Triton Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, near Times Square.
Work is nearing completion on The Collection, an eight-story residential building at 401 West Street on the Hudson River waterfront in Manhattan’s West Village. Designed by Thomas Juul Hansen and Hill West Architects and developed by Wainbridge Capital, the structure will yield ten units. Vector Building Corporation is the general contractor for the project, which is located between West 10th and Charles Streets, across from Hudson River Park and the Christopher Street Pier.
Reality House, a Queens-based substance abuse and HIV treatment provider, will soon open its second facility at 31-75 23rd Street in Astoria, Queens. The new facility will comprise 7,000 square feet on the fourth floor of the building and will support the organization’s outpatient services and administrative functions.
