Skansa has announced the completion of the Petrocelli Surgical Pavilion at North Shore University Hospital, located at 300 Community Drive in Manhasset, Long Island. The $560 million structure spans 288,000 square feet and will enhance the hospital’s programs in cardiac care, neurosurgery, and organ transplantation.
New renderings have been revealed for the rapidly progressing 112 Cooper Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Named Eleven2 Cooper, the 55-foot-tall development is sponsored by Hive Developers, a partnership of Tal Bloch, Aaron Yassin, Andrew Mokotoff, and Andy Bales. The architect of record is Pragnesh Surti. Aaron Yassin of ATMOS Design is the project designer and Tal Bloch is the general contractor. Sales will be handled by the Bethoney / Shen – BeSpoke team at Nestseekers International.
Last week, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) revealed a pair of renderings for its proposal to reconstruct Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown, Manhattan. The $10 billion project is being designed by Foster + Partners and will replace the rundown 74-year-old, 2.1-million-square-foot structure that spans two city blocks between Eighth and Ninth Avenues and West 40th and 42nd Streets. The bi-state agency submitted a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) last Thursday to the Federal Transit Administration, which green-lit a 45-day public comment period. Four hearings will be held from February 20 to 22.
Construction is rising on 201-207 Seventh Avenue, a nine-story residential building in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Amie Gross Architects and developed by New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development under the Chelsea HDFC, the 85-foot-tall structure will span 30,859 square feet and yield 26 affordable co-op units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 1,828 square feet of retail space divided among three tenants. A.A.D. Construction Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 170 West 22nd Street and located at the southeast corner of Seventh Avenue and West 22nd Street.
Industry City, an innovation campus that spans approximately 35 acres in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, has announced the signing of three new industrial leases spanning 33,496 square feet. Industry City currently is home to more than 8,500 workers across more than 550 businesses, ranging from small startups and solo entrepreneurs to large enterprises.
