300 East 83rd Street Nears Topping Out On Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is closing in on the final floors of 300 East 83rd Street, a 22-story residential building in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Lalezarian Properties, the 235-foot-tall structure will span 93,682 square feet and yield 70 condominium units with an average scope of 1,305 square feet, as well as cellar level and ground-floor retail space. A portion of the homes will be reserved for affordable housing. Hudson 37 LLC is the general contractor for the project, which is alternately addressed as 1594-1598 Second Avenue and located at the corner of East 83rd Street and Second Avenue.

HPD Selects Project Team for Low-Income Housing Development at 542 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) has selected a trio of companies to convert an existing parking lot into a low income housing property for seniors and the formerly homeless. Located at 542 Dean Street in Prospect Heights, transformation of the city-owned lot will be led by Jobe Development Corp., Mega Group Development, and the Institute for Community Living, a non-profit agency based in New York.

Construction continues to rise on 50 West 66th Street, a 69-story residential skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Snøhetta with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Extell and Tennor Holding, the 775-foot-tall structure will yield 127 condominium units and stand as the tallest building on the Upper West Side. Lendlease is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West with frontage on both West 65th and West 66th Streets.

61 Metropolitan Avenue Rises in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Construction is rising on 61 Metropolitan Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Francisco Nunez of Studio Gallos and developed by Gabriel Grunblatt under the 61 Metropolitan LLC, the 74-foot-tall structure will span 24,257 square feet and yield 24 rental units with an average scope of 704 square feet, as well as 245 square feet of community facility space, a cellar level, and a 32-foot-long rear yard. G Group Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Kent Avenue to the north and Wythe Avenue to the south.

Douglas Elliman Development Marketing‘s Eklund Gomes Team is leading sales and marketing for the homes with prices ranging from $1.2 to more than $6 million. Ross Associates was the general contractor for the property, which is located at corner of East 21st Street and Second Avenue.

Foundations Progress at 161 Meserole Avenue in Greenpoint, Brooklyn

Designed by Kao Hwa Lee Architect P.C. and developed by SH Meserole LLC, which purchased the 15,390-square-foot plot for $2 million, the structure will replace three low-rise structures and yield an undisclosed number of units. Blue Shine Builder INC is the general contractor the project, which is located at the corner of Meserole Avenue and McGuinness Boulevard.
